Guided by Youth
Grounded in Healing and Justice
All Youth Are Sacred is a narrative power-building initiative. Narrative power-building empowers communities to tell their stories and to envision their communities in a liberatory future. Shaping these narratives is crucial for shaping norms and informing youth-based policies.
AYAS aims to build a statewide narrative infrastructure, anchored in the Bay, that connects people, platforms, and tools to define what is possible and shape "belonging." AYAS builds the leadership of narrative organizers to lead the transformation of their communities.
With youth arrest and incarceration rates the lowest they've ever been in 50 years. There is a ripe opportunity to reimagine youth justice, with youth at the forefront.
Why Narrative Strategy to Build Power?
We use story-telling as a super power to organize, shift beliefs, and values to influence norms, systems, and policy to transform communities.
